Well, it’s pretty much official – Gakken’s giving up on releasing new kits for the time being. The last really new kit was the mini printing press, released at the end of 2017. Following that, we had the rerelease of the planetarium last December, and now Gakken has just announced the rerelease of the 35mm dual-lens box camera as volume 2 of their “Best Selection” series. 3,000+ yen after taxes ($30 USD). It has a tentative publication date of June, but it’s not showing up on Amazon.jp yet.
